| Additional
Materials
Each study unit is accompanied by an audiotape of listening material related to the topic. In addition to the study units you will receive a tape of recorded materials for each unit. You will also need to refer to the following books during the course: The Practice of English Language Teaching J.Harmer (Longman) Practical English Usage M.Swan (OUP) |

| Assessment
Your progress is evaluated through a combination of self-assessed activities, tutor-marked assignments and progress tests. Each study unit comes with an answer key booklet, which provides commentaries and answers to the exercises in the unit and instructions for the tutor-marked assignments. Once you have completed 5 units there is a progress test and a final achievement test after completing unit 10. Students receive a grade and full report on all tutor-marked assignments. On successful completion of the course students receive the Anglia Certificate in teaching English as a foreign language together with a full report on your work throughout the course. |
||||
| Feedback
We believe that the most important feature of the course is the interaction between students and the course tutor whose role is not only to monitor progress, but also to provide support for individual teachers' problems. We encourage students to complete a feedback questionnaire on each study unit and some students also record taped messages about the topic of the study unit. The tutor will return these tapes with a recorded message in answer to any queries. The sample materials on this website illustrate the type of activities you will find in the study units. We hope you will find them interesting. For questionnaire and feedback, please click here |
