Anglia Libya
Atlas English Language Centre is a leading private English learning school, in the sea shore Benghazi city, Libya.
Atlas opened in 1993 and has graduated thousands of students at various levels. These young Libyan men are presently in good admin and technical jobs, thanks to their English.
In 2002 we signed a Franchise agreement with Anglia and so far we are one of the few trusted professional centres.
Presently, our candidate’s levels vary from First Step to Masters level (C2), locally called "the British Certificate", and is highly regarded by the business community.
Atlas students come from various backgrounds. Most are university and high school level young men who had to leave their schooling to look for a paying job to help support their families.
In recent years our student population dropped by nearly 50% due to war against terrorist militias. But registration is picking up gradually every year and the number of female candidates has increased in recent years.
Our teachers are mostly Libyan nationals but few are graduates of UK, US and other international universities.
Our Intermediate level (B1) Anglia Certificate graduates have been able to secure good jobs as teachers, admin assistants, translators and first level supervisory positions. Those who can stand the work in remote desert areas have gained high paying jobs.
